Tipitina's Fountainbleau Rehearsal, located in the old Fountainbleau Hotel at the corner of Carrollton and Tulane Av, has a handful of available practice spaces for musicians and bands. Fountainbleau Rehearsal is New Orleans' first, largest, most-convenient and best-equipped practice facility, featuring 24/7/365 access, individual HVAC in every room, covered loading area, acres of off-street, gated parking, and so much more. Rooms are available on monthly "lockout" only; no laborious loading-in and -out like at amateur "hourly" facilities.
Saturday night's benefit concert at Tipitina's features Dr John (Mac Rebennack) along with Ellis Marsalis, George Porter Jr., Jon Cleary and many others. Funds raised will help preserve and restore Professor Longhair's family home. The house on Terpsichore is the only home Fess (Henry Roeland Byrd) ever owned.
Tipitina's Foundation is honored to acknowledge the generosity and community spirit of SADER POWER and WWL-TV 4 co-sponsors of the Rhythm & Blues 5K Run, and the House Party New Orleans Style (Fess House Preservation) benefit concert, both being held Saturday, September 29th. Thanks to a couple of great companies for teaming up with Tipitina's on a couple of great causes.
