Ray Abshire is a member of a legendary musical family. Ray grew up in the '50s and '60s "Dance Hall Era" of south Louisiana. He has performed with all of the old masters whose recordings form the texts for students of cajun music today. His accordion style is traditional and he also sings in the classic cajun tenor high voice. Recognized as a master musician, Ray still remains true to the hard-core sound he grew up with and draws from a large repertoire of songs rarely heard today.
